SourceThis Kanye West compilation, called 'Freshman Adjusment', can be considered a supplement to the fast selling 'College Dropout' album that is currently burning up the charts. It includes all of the 2002 demo tracks that were shopped around, ignored by sightless and unaware records execs, and ultimately picked up by Damon Dash at Roc-A-Fella Records. It also contains the leaked tracks from an advance copy of the album, which for some insane reason did not appear on the final product. Were talking nothing but solid tracks with high quality beats, fantastic lyrics and excellent hooks. Here are just a few of the highlights: The original demo version and the Lauryn Hill version of 'Self Conscious' aka 'All Falls Down' (Lauryn Hill opted to withhold sample clearance, making way for soulstress Syleena Johnson to replace her own hook), 'Wack Niggaz' featuring Talib Kweli, 'Keep The Receipt' featuring ODB, and 'Wow' the song that Kanye himself said "You’ll never hear!". Everyone knows this guy, who has been called the saviour of hip-hop, is quite talented, and these 21 tracks will convert any doubters. Kanye is here to stay, and this CD is just further testament to that fact. The only people that are not feeling Kanye at the moment are those souls that passed on the chance to sign him, and who are most likely now looking for a job.
