1° "The short supply of GameCubes at retailers nationwide have some analysts talking. Could Nintendo be halting production yet again?
Rumors have been circulating around the net, indicating that Nintendo has lessened their quantity of GameCube shipments. Several retailers nationwide are even reporting that their GameCube system stock has yet to be filled, being "off-schedule." Selling rather well for the past couple of months after lowering its price to $99.99, the GameCube may in fact experience slow hardware sales once again if the shortage continues.
We contacted a FuncoLand/GameStop store manager, who has also broke exclusive news to GCA in the past. Disappointingly, he had this to say:
"The rumors are indeed true. Nintendo GameCube shipments have been shortened for the time being without any further explanation. At the current rate we're selling GameCubes, the supply nationwide within the GameStop chain of stores could run out by around mid-March if additional shipments aren't sent."
