    Je voudrais lancer ce sujet pour rassembler toutes les différentes astuces qui permettrais d'améliorer les performances d'un ordinateur.

    Pour mesurer les changements, je propose de rassembler toutes une série de logiciels de benchmarking et autre. Il m'en viens quelques-uns à l'esprit (si vous en connaissez d'autres, ajoutez les à cette liste) :

    - SiSoft Sandra
    - 3dMark
    - OpenGL Benchmark
    - Fraps
    - Des jeux (UT dans mon cas précis)

    Note : Pour avoir une bonne idée des résultats, l'idéal c'est de lancer un benchmark 2-3 fois et de publier cette série de résultats pour prendre en compte les variations qui pourraient subvenir.

    Ce que je vais faire de mon côté c'est résintaller Windows 2000 et repartir à zéro pour ensuite lancer les benchmarks pour donner des résultats de base. Vous ne devez pas forcément en faire autant :p . Tout simplement, lorsqu'une personne proposeras une "optimisation" chacun pourras l'appliquer de son côté et faire un comparatif. Ceci permettras de voir le vrai et le faux derrière les petites astuces qui existent et de voir le gain réel qui pourrait en résulter :) .

    pour sisoft sandra ce que j'ai surtout fait avec c deja suivre les tips qu'il donne après chaque test en sous-pesant qd meme sa réelle portée ds les perf' (en d'autres mots si oui ou non ça vaut le coup).
    Autre chose intéressante que jav fais c t avec tweak all ou je sais plus quel prog donnant accès aux réglages du cache disk dur, j'av fais plusieurs bench disk avec sandra en variant les cache. Après 4-5 bench j'av plusieurs valeur qu'il me suffisait de mettre ds un graphique courbe d'excel pour voir au maximum du graphique le cache qui était le plus maximisé ds les perf'...

    autre truc que je fais direct c installer tweak xp des power toys microsoft et aller désactiver toutes les animations, bulles d'astuces, fondus des menus, etc etc etc qui me sont completement inutiles puisque purement esthétiques, ça aide aussi.

    Autre optimisation que je fais à chaque coup c délimiter le fichier swap. xp me permettant d'en faire plusieurs j'en fais un de 256Mo fixes sur 2 partitions d'autres disk que le disk de boot.


    Après avoir fait ces choses je pense qu'on peut plus tranquillement se pencher sur les vrais problemes et sur la vraie optimisation sans se soucier de dizaines de parametres qui pourraient venir les faire varier en plus de ceux qui le font vraiment.

    Qd mon post sera passé à l'apréciation des savants de l'info de ce forum, si c validé à la limite je referai un post en détaillant toute la marche à suivre étapes par étapes... :)

    En effet :) . Si Elian a proposé une série de sites avec diverses formules pour optimiser Windows, il s'agit parfois de "recettes maison" dont l'éfficacité n'est pas toujours prouvée (ca ne veut pas dire qu'on ne peut pas s'en inspirer, loin de là :p ).

    Je crois que le dernier paragraphe souligne bien les intentions de ce sujet.
