Starting the 17 of February, 2009 StarForce officially supports Windows 7 Beta 1.
StarForce and Microsoft specialists are working closely together to develop the solution for further version of this operation system
How do I know which protection version is installed for the application I use?
Different protection versions support details:
Programs protected by v3.07.014 and earlier versions will not support Windows 7. Due to a long lapse of time between old protection versions and Windows 7 beta releases, there are significant differences in technology, which does not allow implementing such support. Users of such products should contact the protected program developers or publishers to obtain Windows 7 patches, or use previous Windows version to run the products.
StarForce offers free re-protection for all the developers and publishers of the programs that utilize version 3.07.014 and earlier to release the appropriate patches. Please contact us at
sales@star-force.com for re-protection and further details.
For all programs protected starting v3.07.015 till v4.00 inclusive it is possible to update the protection driver through our website or use a protected program developer’s patch to be able to run the protected programs in Windows 7.
Programs protected starting v4.50 till v5.00 inclusive may launched within Windows 7 Beta 1 normaly. In case of failure please update the protection driver through our website or use a protected program developer’s patch to be able to run the protected programs in Windows 7.
Programs protected starting v5.50 till v5.70 inclusive may also launched within Windows 7 Beta 1 normaly. In case of failure please update the protection driver through the protect.exe utility or use a protected program developer’s patch to be able to run the protected programs in Windows 7.
StarForce also offers free re-protection for all the developers and publishers of the programs that utilize version 3.07.015 and earlier to release the appropriate patches. Thus, an end-user will be saved the trouble of downloading a new driver version. Please contact us at
sales@star-force.com for re-protection and further details.
