This patch is so much fail on so many levels. Here are just the top ten highlights:
1. Dodge no longer works with reflect. Are you kidding me? Blizzard should just delete the Monk class.
2. It doesn't help that reflects hit SOOOOO much harder now. My pitiful LS+LoH no longer suffices as an archon wizard. And it's not like I have any other gear I can get more LS unlike Barbs ...
3. ... who apparently Blizzard adores. 1.05 should be renamed DiBarblo.
4. Good gawd, I'm so not enjoying IDing all the same crap loot. I'm not enjoying more towning and more vendoring. I feel like punching babies after a farm run.
5. You thought gold inflation was bad in 1.04? It's about to go berserk in 1.05. I see stacks of 4K now. I vendor a lot more (and the vendor values are much higher). Blizz somehow made their in-game economy worse than Zimbabwe in under two months.
6. Who the F is masochistic enough to do Hellfire runs? Ok, the keys in 1-3 aren't too bad to acquire (if you're lucky or don't mind CTS from doing MP10), but A4 recipe is stupidly hard to get because A4 is still unpopulated. Finding five elites before the keywarden is more challenging than linear algebra.
7. And once you get there, the uber drops you a ring with 180 primary, 35% exp, and complete garbage rolls for the other four random affixes. But it's not like we're surprised. Hundreds of hours of farmed jewelry has never yielded a good upgrade for anyone, so why should it be any different now? Except we get the great joy of doing so much work to obtain a garbage ring. Thanks for the new uber event, Blizz. Could have given us a cool new dungeon to farm, but nope, we get the Inferno Machine.
8. Loot once considered "good" isn't good anymore since everyone is getting them now. 3 hours, 3 legendaries and a bunch of stuff that would have traded in 1.03 ... but salvage scrap in 1.05. Anyone who thinks they are getting better drops lacks critical thinking. All Blizzard did was shift the baseline/definition for "good." We're still the EXACT SAME THING, only more tediously.
9. So sorry for all those players who stuck it out since the beginning and invested hundreds of hours (and in many cases, hard earned money) to get to where they are today. Your efforts aren't appreciated. Blizz thinks it's better to give everyone end game gear without any effort ... like handing out token trophies to every kid in class for fear that one might not feel special enough.
10. One word question: Itemization?
I hope 1.06 undoes everything 1.05 did. This is far and away the worst patch of any Blizzard game I've ever played (and I've pretty much played them all).
