Bonjour à tous,

J'ai acquis un Acer Aspire One cet après midi. J'ai regardé sur le net pour installer aMsn ou qqch du genre, même mettre à jour firefox, mais c'est compliqué, fin je crois que je suis pas dans le bon.

J'ai Linux Linpus Lite et j'aurais aimé savoir comment installer Firefox avec la dernière MAJ et aussi installer d'autres programmes, savoir comment les décompresser, etc.

Merci d'aider un pauvre noob.

Je ne prétend pas être connaisseur dans linpus (en fait je ne connais pas du tout cette distro) mais je crois que ton soucis avec aMSN, c'est qu'il n'affiche pas les utilisateurs déconnectés pour moins gaspiller d'espace. Si tu as réussis à te connecter sur ton profil Windows Live via aMSN ou emesene ou pidgin, je ne vois pas de raison pour que tes contacts ne soient pas accessibles. Pour voir les déconnectés, tu peux chercher une option du genre "Affiche les hors-ligne" dans les menus.

Pour avoir la dernière version de Firefox, j'ignore si linpus a un système de mises à jour. Sur ubuntu, Firefox se met toujours à jour via les mises à jour du système. Sinon, tu peux télécharger Firefox sur le site firefox.com, extraire l'archive et double-cliquer sur l'exécutable Firefox dans le dossier extrait, même si c'est pas le plus convivial.

Pour terminer, à moins que tu aies choisi linpus pour un besoin précis, si tu veux avoir accès à de la documentation sans fin et un meilleur support de la communauté, je te suggère de te tourner plutôt vers des alternatives plus populaires, Ex Ubuntu.

Je tiens à te remercier pour tes précisions. Je n'ai pas aMsn mais le messenger linpus. Je n'arrive pas à savoir si je dois prendre un tar.bz2 ou autre chose.

J'ai choisit cet Acer pour la taille et voir ce que Linux était. Maintenant, à l'avenir, je regarderai si linux est pas trop difficile et si c'est le cas, je songerai à mettre Win Xp LSD.

Tu ne sais pas quel type de fichier je dois prendre pour installer aMsn?

Oh, la distribution inclus sur le Aspire One a l'air sympa! :) Mais bon faute de l'avoir essayée, elle peut aussi bien être casse-pied, je ne la connais pas. Faut préciser que l'expérience que tu auras avec le Aspire One risque d'être très différente de l'expérience offerte par les autres distributions Linux parce que l'interface est conçue d'une manière plutôt différente.

Un conseil, ne désespère pas. Prend le temps d'essayer. Si après ça ne marche vraiment pas selon tes souhaits, tu peux aussi bien installer linux ubuntu qui est extrêmement simple (plus que Windows sur plusieurs aspects) ou Windows lui-même.

un tar.gz demande une compilation enfin toutes les archives tar presque mais c pas indipensable

les commandes d extraction

tar xvjf ou xvzf nom de ton archives

ensuite cd le nom de ton dossier

puis la un ls pour voir s il y a un readme

regarde aussi s il y a un fichier configure

./configure
make
make install generalement ce sont ces commandes la

je ne connais pas linpus mais les commandes de bases s appliquent a toutes les distro linux

je reste ici si tu as des soucis colle le message d erreur le reste on se debrouillera ns pour t aider...

yum install amsn tout simplement sans te prendre la tete

et rajoute le depot livna pour tout paquet multimedia (vlc etc)

donc base toi sur les docs fedora pour tes install et si ca va pas je suis la et les autres aussi

Je tiens d'abord à remercier tout le monde pour vos conseils
j'ai essayé yum install amsn et ça a marché dans le sens ou il m'a dit install complete ou un truc dans le genre mais ou aller pour utiliser AMSN? car je n'ai pas de raccourcis et dans les fichiers d'après ce que j'ai vu, non plus.

j'ai fait un whereis amsn et j'ai trouvé. Je commence à m'y faire mdr

tu fais un atl+F2 sur ton bureau ca ouvre une fenetre la tu tapes amsn et amsn se lance ,normalement ds le menu internet tu dois avoir le lien amsn

fais un rpm -ivh --force vlc.....machin chose

au sinon le site de dag http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/vlc/ tu peux aussi rajouter le depo de dag de memoire c ds /etc/yum.repos.d/repo.conf ou qq chose ds ce style la

J'entends par la que j'ai un affichage bizarre et j'aimerais réinstaller mon desktop. Pourriez vous m'aider svp.
