Playstation 3 has backwards compatibility problems
Issue, Issue, all fall down

DESIGNERS working on the PS3 are having problems making the beast as compatible with the PS2 software as Sony would like.
GamesIndustry.biz has hatched a story quoting a source in Sony's UK studios saying backwards compatibility has become a real problem.
Apparently they are trying to use the same software emulation idea being used pretty unsuccessfully by Vole on its 360 machine.
Although a large number of PS2 titles are working, Sony needs the majority to go to compete with Microsoft. One of the PS3's biggest selling points is that it is backwards compatible with the PS2 and you can run all your old software.
