Dub Trio is a dub/rock cross-over band from Brooklyn. In the past bassist Stu Brooks has recorded with 50 Cent, Tupac Shakur, Macy Gray; Drummer Joe Tomino toured with The Fugees. Guitarist DP Holmes can be heard on albums by Mos Def and Common. Now, the three distinct personalities functioning as one unit, Dub Trio seems capable of making all manner of sounds. They bring noises into this world that are unique, and decidedly new and fresh. The Trio brings an ecclectic and attractive take on the term "new music." Just Drums, bass, and guitar primarily, but the "job description" for each member seems to vary from track to track.
