Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy pair for Tim Burton 'Alice In Wonderland' soundtrack
Pete Wentz and Mark Hoppus writing music for 2010 version of Lewis Carroll film
Blink-182's Mark Hoppus and Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz are writing music together for the soundtrack of Tim Burton's film adaptation of Alice In Wonderland.
Wentz revealed that the duo have written one song so far for the soundtrack, and may collaborate more if they find the time.
"We did a song for Alice in Wonderland, [and we] might do a few more depending on when [Mark] goes in with Blink," the bassist/singer told MTV News He added that the song sounds "nothing like Blink or Fall Out Boy".
Wentz went on to clarify that he and Hoppus aren't forming a supergroup, as such, and that the duo don't know whether they will work together in the future.
"It's just for fun [at the moment]," he said. "It's not a band or even a project at this state."
Burton's adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice In Wonderland is scheduled for release on March 5. It stars Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska and Anne Hathaway, with other actors set to appear including Matt Lucas, Stephen Fry, Barbara Windsor and Paul Whitehouse.
No tracklisting has been confirmed for the film's soundtrack yet, though Avril Lavigne is also rumoured to feature.
Blink 182 are playing a number of European festival dates this summer, leading to speculation that they may also make an appearance at Reading And Leeds Festivals in August.
Fall Out Boy recently announced that they were going on an "indefinite break".
